For this water storage project, a new 'rain application' was developed by 3D capacity. One can realtime trigger rain and see the area being flooded.
More information can be found on the Aa en Maas website
Water storage areas are to be furnished at strategic places in the valley of the Aa to prevent this. "Security, water storage and water quality are our first concerns, but we are actively seeking additional value for spatial development, nature and sustainability. There are numerous opportunities in water management by integrating other functions into it."
"At the request of the citizens to clearly communicate the plans, a Virtual Scale Model was chosen for the presentation. Due to the interactive character, residents and farmers in the area can assess the impact of water storage from their own location. The Virtual Scale Model also features a function by which the various water levels can be switched. By letting it rain, the viewer can witness the flooding of the area up to the new, increased levees."
About 100 interested people came to see and listen to the plans of the Water Board for the project Diesdonk. "The presentation to the residents with the Virtual Scale Model went well."
